Gary Gibbens

Nelson, New Zealand

Gary has been painting landscapes now for some forty years and has paintings hanging in many overseas countries including England, the Nederlands and the U.S.A.

Currently he is an honorary life member of Art Nelson, having many years ago served as the president.

His most pleasing moment was the presentation of his painting of Mount Tasman to the mayor of Grootegast in Holland, to celebrate the unveiling of the Abel Tasman statue in Nelson.

His favourite subjects are the mountains of the South Island and the hills and valleys of the Nelson region.

Gary works in both acrylics and oils.
