Tom moved to Nelson from London in 2022, where he spent the past decade working as an artist assistant to Damien Hirst. Since settling in Nelson, he has produced a series of landscapes and paintings of the iconic Kiwi bach.

Brooker’s first solo show in New Zealand, Artificial Intelligence, was held at The Refinery Artspace, Nelson, in December 2025. In these recent works, Tom used A.I. programs to help create a series of paintings exploring both the positive and negative impacts of A.I. in the present and near future.
